I gotta chance to attend the premiere of “MACHETE” last week AND I’m still thinking about this movie!!"MACHETE DON''T TEXT"!! HAHA! I can’t wait to see again with all my friends & familia! By FAR my favorite movie this & last year, BRILLIANT on so many levels, CLEVER STORY TELLING, SICK ART DIRECTION & A CRAZY CAST!! I am seriously crushing on Robert Rodriguez’s GENIUS (if he would just remove the hat!)!! Seeing DANNY TREJO on the screen made me teary, I am SO proud of him,Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, for ALL OF US!!! Robert Dinero, I mean really??? WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO SAY!! Oh, I will say this, MACHETE > INCEPTION, or ANYTHING else you have seen this year!! YEP, it’s THAT serious!! LET'S GO OUT AND MAKE IT A BIG FIRST WEEKEND!!!

After I went to my first Mike Giant art show in Venice about 6 yrs ago, I INSTANTLY feel in love! Mr.Gigante, originally from SF, spent many years in BORQUE and was definitely inspired by the CHICANO culture that thrives there! A tattoo/graffiti/graphic/fine artist/fashion designer with a spiritual twist, Mike Giant is ABSOLUTELY 1 OF MY FAVORITE ARTISTS! I love starring at his pieces & finding all the lil secrets in each picture, look deep for the social commentary. It’s the small details that captivate me & I kinda love that most of his pieces are done with a Sharpie. Mike Giant’s art can be found in galleries around the world, or if your really lucky, you might catch a glimpse of a skateboard or an OG tattoo in a neighborhood near you! 

Brenton Wood songs were a BIG part of my high school soundtrack!! They are the BEST break up & make up songs a girl like me could ever NEED!! "I Think You Got Your Fools Mixed Up" & "Catch You On The Rebound" were my jams!! They have all the makings of CLASSIC OLDIES with a "I ain't trippin off you" twist that most def inspired my songwriting style!! Brenton Wood was a CALI  HOMEBOY, CPT reppin & an infamous honorary CHICANO! His songs can be heard at Lowrider Car Shows and the Art Laboe radio show around the country on any given Sunday!!

I had the honor of meeting him a few a few years back, he was as cool & OG as he looks & sounds! He gave me some of the most honest & sincere advice on my career, I will NEVER forget!

Happy Bithday DJ VIDA V!!! Here are some pics from Vida's party! Shout-out to everyone who made it out!! The air-conditioning was broken, the dancefloor was packed, and a fight broke out!! It was soooooo HOT,all the things that make a good & hood party!! Thank God I had my hair in a bun! Lol. I finally got to see all my Palm Spring Girls from U92, DjLady Kate, Nina Cruz & Bianca!!
